Bonnie will look at the scar pattern, how deep or raised the areas are, the skin around them and your goals. Laser treatment can be part of a plan to improve the appearance of acne scarring, but it cannot promise to erase every scar. Discuss the expected treatment course and realistic limitations with Bonnie before treatment. Protective eyewear and treatment-specific comfort measures are discussed before the procedure.Care After Your Visit
Follow the instructions for cleansing, skincare and sun protection, including SPF 50 on treated skin before and after treatments. Redness, swelling, discomfort or pigment changes can occur, with recovery depending on the procedure and your skin. Bonnie can explain what to expect and when to contact the team.Results and Follow-Up
Treatments are typically spaced approximately six weeks apart. The number of treatments depends on the scar’s type, depth, color, location and healing response. Bonnie will assess the area and explain the proposed course and realistic expectations.
