The treatment selected depends on the concern and your skin; pigment and texture can require different protocols.

Consultation and Preparation

Bonnie reviews the area, skin type, treatment history and your goals. Share your medicines, skincare products and any recent sun exposure. Follow the preparation instructions for your treatment; do not stop prescribed medicines without your prescriber's guidance.

Your Treatment

The enLIGHTen III offers more than one pulse duration and wavelength, giving Bonnie options when considering a personalized plan. Pigment concerns and texture concerns can call for different approaches. She will review your skin, discuss what improvement is realistic and explain why a particular setting or sequence is proposed. Protective eyewear and treatment-specific comfort measures are discussed before the procedure.

Care After Your Visit

Protect treated skin from direct sun before and after treatments, using SPF 50 to help maintain your results longer. Treated spots may look darker at first, then gradually lighten, usually by week 2. Use clean, organic, minimal skincare products after treatment and wash gently during the first week. Makeup can usually be worn after 24 hours; remove it with a mild cleanser using very gentle hand motions. Redness, swelling or discomfort can occur, with recovery depending on the procedure and your skin. Bonnie can explain what to expect and when to contact the team.

Results and Follow-Up

A typical initial course may involve 2–3 treatments spaced approximately six weeks apart. Improvements develop gradually. Results may develop over six months to a year, with maintenance approximately twice a year. Bonnie will explain how these expectations apply to your skin and treatment plan.

For hyperpigmentation, LustreLook recommends that darker skin types (Fitzpatrick V and VI) consider topical fading creams, either over the counter or dermatologist recommended. Pico Genesis for hyperpigmentation is ideal and highly effective for lighter to medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick I to IV).
